Matty Stu – Comedian | Podcaster | Veteran of Laughs (and the Navy)

Matty Stu is one of the fastest-rising names in Austin’s powerhouse comedy scene, known for his sharp timing, unpredictable energy, and a delivery that can swing from thoughtful to feral in under ten seconds. A regular at Sunset Strip Comedy Club, Matty’s a familiar face across the city’s top stages—Cap City, The Creek and The Cave, Vulcan, and anywhere with a mic and a crowd that isn’t afraid of the truth.

Matty earned national attention with his appearance on Netflix’s Kill Tony special, and he’s since been building a loyal following across the country, opening for comics like David Jolly and Bianca Parato, and bringing his signature style to every stage he touches.

He’s also the co-host of the hit podcast The Captain’s Dogs with fellow comic Phillip Garcia, and appears in the indie comedy film Mayberry Man and the upcoming documentary Nighthawks, where he shares the screen with legends like Ron White, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir.

Originally from Connecticut and raised in California, Matty’s voice is shaped by life on both coasts and service in the U.S. Navy. His comedy blends that experience with sharp observations, ridiculous honesty, and just the right amount of chaos.

Real, raw, and always a step ahead—Matty Stu is proof that the next wave of stand-up is already here
